Gift caricature practice

Well as of today I am officially unemployed, and my efforts will now be focused on making that self-employed, and hopefully gift caricatures will be a step towards that.

As a practice run, I've done one for my Dad who is a big golfer and clay-pigeon shooter. You'll have to trust me when I say I nailed the likeness, creating the additional elements is still quite new and needs more work though.

That's a brilliant first attempt at gift caricatures Neil - they can be fun and sadly very tedious at times. It's a different philosophy pleasing someone else with your artwork.
Here's a tip - keep the 'clutter' to a minimum and tell the client 70% of the work their paying for is on the face not the other stuff.
You'll make a killing with your skills - aim at the top of the market

Tel, thanks so much for your comments! Your gift work is the high watermark as far as I'm concerned so I'm really pleased you like it :)
